What is a Soundbath?

1

A Soundbath is a meditative, restorative experience where sound and vibration guide the body and mind into deep states of rest and realignment. As you lie comfortably, you’ll be immersed in waves of sound from instruments such as crystal singing bowls, chimes, gongs, and voice. These sounds are not random—they are tuned to resonate with the natural rhythms of your body, encouraging release, balance, and harmony at a cellular and energetic level.

How does Sound Healing work?

2

While each person’s experience is unique, sound healing is often understood through four interconnected principles of Entrainment, Intention, Coherence, and Resonance

Entrainment – Your brainwaves and nervous system begin to slow and settle as they synchronize with the steady vibrations of sound. This can support a shift from the busy, analytical mind into slower brainwave states associated with relaxation, creativity, and meditation.
Intention – Your thoughts and focus influence your experience. Setting a personal intention can help bring awareness to areas where healing, insight, or balance may be needed.
Coherence – When the mind, heart, and body are in greater harmony, many notice a sense of ease, clarity, and emotional balance.
Resonance – Everything in the body vibrates. Sound can gently interact with these natural rhythms, encouraging relaxation and supporting the body’s innate capacity for restoration, balance, and self-regulation.

What can I expect from a Sound session?

3

Every person experiences sound differently. Some people feel deeply relaxed. Others gain insight, clarity, or a renewed sense of connection. Sometimes the greatest gift is simply the opportunity to pause, rest, and listen. Sound has a profound ability to influence the body, mind, emotions, and nervous system. It can quiet mental chatter, soften habitual patterns of thinking, and create the quiet space that opens greater self-awareness.

Sound healing is not about achieving a particular outcome. Rather, it creates a space where you can step away from the noise of daily life and become more aware of what is happening within. As the mind settles and the body relaxes, many people discover a greater sense of balance, presence, and inner knowing.

The invitation is simple: to listen deeply - to the sounds around you and to the wisdom that already exists within you.

How should I prepare for a session?

4

Some recommendations before a session:

  • Wear comfortable, loose clothing – Choose layers that allow your body to fully relax.
  • If you are attending a group session, bring anything that helps you relax, such as a yoga mat, blanket, pillow or extra clothing. Arrive early in order to settle in and create a comfortable space for yourself. For Group Soundbaths I often offer extra tuning before the class begins, so come 15-20 minutes early if possible.

  • Avoid heavy meals beforehand – A light meal or snack a few hours before allows your body to rest deeply.
  • Hydrate well – Drink water before and after your session; sound moves more freely through a hydrated body.
  • Allow quiet time afterward – Plan for some space for stillness or reflection following your session

Is Sound Healing right for everyone?

5.

Sound healing is generally safe for most people. However, individuals with sound-sensitive epilepsy, certain medical conditions, pregnancy, or other medical concerns should consult with their healthcare provider and contact me with any questions before attending.
